Freedom Dog Rescue is a non-profit registered charity which was founded in Ottawa in February 2015. They are an all-breed, all-size foster based rescue. which operates in Ottawa and surrounding areas. They are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs, as well as dogs from shelters or surrenders.

The Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue was founded in 2011 with a mission to
getting adoptable cats off the streets and into homes in addition to
supporting stray cat colonies in the Ottawa region. They are 100% volunteer based. They save over 750 cats every year.

They want to help large breed dogs because they are more at risk in the “system” and all too often become victims of circumstance.
