At Zoomy’s, we understand the importance of transparency and quality ingredients – there are no regulations in Canada requiring pet food companies to use human-grade ingredients, but we guarantee it.
In fact, that’s all we use. Human-grade, butcher-quality protein and produce.
All of our pet food uses locally-raised beef, chicken, and pork. Our fish is ethically-sourced: wild-caught, or Canadian farmed.
Our fruits and vegetables are from Canada when seasonally available, or a country with a long standing of safe farming practices and human rights, like United States.
All our packaging is easy to use, and easier to dispose! We ship our products almost entirely in paper packaging, that means about 99% of it can be be composted or recycled.
We strive to use the least packaging necessary.
How does Zoomy’s ensure this food is safe for our pets?
This is a great question! All of our recipes are made with a team of nutritionists, and prepared by a chef with 10 years of culinary experience.
We also only use human-grade ingredients and follow the same standards human food requires. This is above and beyond what is required, but your pet is worth it

Zoomy’s strives to make the highest quality pet food on the market. All pet food companies say that; however, we live it! All our products: use 100% human-grade ingredients, provide the guaranteed analysis, list EXACT ingredients (Breast and thighs as opposed to “parts”), and follow guidelines scientifically proven to provide a healthy diet for your pet (AAFCO). Some pet foods offer some of these features, but we are unique because we do ALL of them.
Is Zoomy’s’ food “grain free” or “grain inclusive”?
The short answer is neither. Our Recipes do not use any filler like grain or pulses(dried: peas, lentils, legumes and seeds); which are the defining ingredients in those classes of pet food.
In regards to the FDA study linking grain-free to DCM, please read the FAQ Question “What is Zoomy’s’ response to the FDA study on ‘grain-free’ pet food?”.

The shipping is free on orders over $125 before tax, and $15 otherwise
We ship on Thursdays. We will send you a text message letting you know when the package is sent. We suggest you leave a cooler by your front door if you cannot accept the delivery. Our products are packaged to stay frozen for up to two hours on your porch, on a regular day.
Ultimately serving sizes should be discussed with your vet. Trial and error is needed to find your pet’s portion size.
It’s also important to know that serving size isn’t just an amount of food multiplied by your pet’s weight. Multiple factors come into play
To help you find the right amount we give suggested sizes based on ADF tables. These take into account the weight and life stage of your pet.
What if my dog is a picky eater?
“Picky eater” is one of our favourite words here at Zoomy’s.
The chances are higher that they will like Zoomy’s because it looks, tastes, and smells like food—that is because it is! Our food is as natural as it gets, just like the food you would prepare for yourself.
We use 100% human-grade ingredients in our formulas, which makes the whole experience more palatable for your furry friend. Our ingredients are carefully selected and listed with easy-to-understand and recognizable names , so you can be confident in what you’re feeding your pet.
If your dog has a sensitive stomach, we suggest replacing 25% of the current food with Zoomy’s and mixing it very well. Each day, double the amount you replace until it’s all Zoomy’s.

What if my cats is a picky/selective eater?
Cats are like toddlers; forever scared of eating something unless they already know they like it!
If your cat is already on wet or raw food, the chances are higher that they will like Zoomy’s. Since we use 100% human-grade ingredients, our formulas look, taste and smell like food., which makes the whole experience more palatable for your furry friend.
However, most cats won’t eat new food unless it is introduced slowly. Start with replacing a teaspoon of their current food with Zoomy’s, and mixing it very well. Each day double the amount you replaced. Once you’ve switched about 25% of their food, try giving them a full Zoomy’s meal.

What if my pet has allergies or medical conditions?

Zoomy’s goes out of our way to ensure your pet gets exactly what they need in their diet. We do this in three ways:
I am switching from Kibble to Raw or cooked food. What do I need to know?
Switching from kibble to cooked or raw is not overly hard.
If you going from kibble to raw, We strongly recommend reading this article.
If you’re switching to cooked, you can do a stright switch. Just make sure to feed your dog the approitare amount. Each of our products come with a suggested feeding amount on the label.
What is Zoomy’s’ responce to the FDA study on ‘grain-free’ pet food?
The short answer is:
We don’t use filler in our recipes, including the use of dried peas, lentils, legumes and seeds (AKA pulses) described in the FDA study and associated with grain-free food.
What you should know:
The FDA did a study to see what link, if any, diet played in non-hereditary DCM. They also released an FAQ shortly after.
The study specifically looked at the effects of recipes with large percentages of fillers like dried: peas, lentils, legumes and seeds (AKA pulses). Since Zoomy’s doesn’t use any fillers, including pulses, our product doesn’t contain any of the potentially offending ingredients
Or to quote the FDA’s FAQ directly:
“Most of the diets associated with the reports of non-hereditary DCMe have legume seed ingredients, also called “pulses” (e.g., peas, lentils, etc.), high in their ingredient lists”
